Effect of Cross-Section Shape on RC Specimen’s Behavior Under Asymmetrical Impact Loading

چکیده

Abstract By applying asymmetrical lateral impact forces on RC specimens, the specimens’ cross-sectional shape is analyzed. The effectiveness of resistance to was examined using a drop hammer. Performing research factors that led failure various specimen shapes and dynamic responses they exhibited. In experiment, eight circular square specimens were used. Includes method failure, force, deflection time history. findings point shear fractures between adjacent support. right side has suffered significant damage, tests all failed. peak force can bear may be greater than ones. Protecting concrete core reducing maximum are benefits specimen. When ratio stirrups raised, there only little variation in specimen’s damage range. This cause slight reduction but it not significant. plateau increased, little. An increase stirrup energy use.

On the effect of grain size on rock behavior under cyclic loading by distinct element method

It is well-known that the mechanical behavior of rocks under cyclic loading is much different from static loading conditions. In most constructions, the load applied to structures is within dynamic ranges. That’s why a great deal of attention has been paid towards this field in order to identify the dynamic behavior of rocks in more details. Nevertheless, the nature of dynamic failure in rocks ...

an investigation of the impact of self monitoring on langauge teachers motivational practice and its effect on learners motivation

the central purpose of this study was to conduct a case study about the role of self monitoring in teacher’s use of motivational strategies. furthermore it focused on how these strategies affected students’ motivational behavior. although many studies have been done to investigate teachers’ motivational strategies use (cheng & d?rnyei, 2007; d?rnyei & csizer, 1998; green, 2001, guilloteaux & d?...

Effect of Micro-Structure on Fatigue Behavior of Intact Rocks under Completely Reversed Loading

Rock formations and structures can be subjected to both static and dynamic loadings. Static loadings resulting from different sources such as gravity and tectonic forces and dynamic forces are intermittently transmitted via vibrations of the earth’s crust, through major earthquakes, rock bursts, rock blasting and drilling and also, traffic. Reaction of rocks to cyclic and repetitive stresses re...
